Adventure and excitement are waiting around the corner for you at the New Detroit Science Center! A great place for both adults and kids, the Science Center provides a fun-filled day for all of its guests.
The New Detroit Science center is home to a planetarium, an IMAX dome theatre, interactive exhibits and more! So, whether you’re in the mood to explore, or just sit back and let the Science Center do all the work, you’re in luck.
Currently showing at the Science Center’s IMAX are the films Dinosaurs: Giants of Patagonia, Dolphins, The Human Body, and Hurricane on the Bayou. All of the films films are educational and enjoyable, allowing to you have a good time while you learn something new.
There are lots of great exhibits at the New Detroit Science Center. The GM Motion Laboratory gives you a hands-on experience of motion mechanics. Complete with over 30 interactive displays, you’re guaranteed to leave with a better understanding of how motion mechanics works. The exhibit features The Tornado and Molecular Motion Chamber, The Hot Air Balloon, and Cranks-A-Lot, to name a few.
The Dow Foundation Life Science Laboratory uses interactive displays and interesting exhibits to explain the wonders in nature. Taking up over 5,000 square feet, the Sciences Laboratory will teach you about everything from cells to the organization of living things.
Exhibits at the New Detroit Science Center allow you to do nearly anything you can imagine; from playing with sound to slicing through light, you’ll be amazed at the interactive displays set up throughout the Center.
